Job Summary:

The Pediatrics Inpatient Resident Coordinator will work as part of the Pediatrics Resident team in providing support to pediatric residents by assuming responsibility for the administrative duties related to patient care on inpatient services. Manages the flow of daily rounds; assists with communication with families, nursing staff and other services following physician rounding to improve patient experience, with other duties as assigned. The Pediatrics Inpatient Resident Coordinator will work as part of a the pediatric resident team dedicated to the highest quality of care for pediatric patient population and their families.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree in a Health or Business related field and 3 years of relevant experience in an inpatient or outpatient healthcare setting or Bachelors degree in Health or Business related field and 1 year of relevant experience in an inpatient or outpatient healthcare setting required. Working knowledge of medical terminology and excellent written/oral communication skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong communication skills as the incumbent will be responsible for facilitating communication between Residents, Nursing staff, families and support services. Experience with electronic medical records systems such as EPIC along with MS Office strongly preferred.

Monday-Friday days
