Job Summary:

The OBGYN Advanced Practice Provider will provide care to patients at Crouse Hospital. The OBGYN Advanced Practice Provider will provide both inpatient management of the women's health patient.

Responsibilities include providing expert level clinical care & coordination of care via a full range of services that will improve quality of patient care, assessing & evaluating patients, ordering appropriate laboratory testing & diagnostic studies, arranging for referrals, testing, consultation & therapeutic services, and maintaining outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians & all members of the health care team. The obstetrical services may include antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care to include the performance of circumcisions, ED OB evaluations, admissions, discharges, and management for all the above. The gynecological services will include pre-operative and post-operative care to include L&D Triage, ED evaluations, admissions, and discharges.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required (NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice). Must have NPI number and be Medicare Enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) OR be eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire (eligibility criteria for NP requires National Certification through AANP or ANCC, and Master's Degree) (eligibility criteria for PA requires graduation from an accredited PA program and National Certification through NCCPA). Initial certification must be present or obtained within 6 months of hire. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

ACLS, PALS, NRP Provider (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), NALS, EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring), fetal monitoring NST with interpretation, and amniotic fluid index (AFI) interpretations. At least two years of clinical experience, one of which in obstetrics and gynecology preferred.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. The salary range depicted is based on full time, 1.0 FTE and would be prorated accordingly for less than 1.0 FTE.
