Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Inventory Maintenance Specialist is responsible for inventory maintenance and replenishment of medications and supplies for the Pharmacy Department. Will work closely with the Pharmacy Purchasing Team team to establish and adjust par levels to ensure continuous product flow, avoid stock outs and optimize storage space. Duties will include but are not limited to, scanning products to create orders for replenishment, physically receiving and stocking inventory, electronically documenting receipts, assist with coordination and distribution of medications and pharmaceutical supplies. Coordinate emergent orders with buyers and manage expiring products. Will maintain current knowledge base of New York State and SUNY procurement rules and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates degree and 2 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Must be able to stand, bend, climb and reach. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Excellent written/oral communication, analytical and organizational skills required.  

Preferred Qualifications:

Medication inventory experience preferred. Familiarity with Lawson MM software preferred.
