Job Summary:
The Practice Manager coordinates and facilitates the daily administrative operations of the Infectious Diseases Division. This role supports multiple administrative areas including finance, human resources, purchasing, and general office management to ensure smooth and efficient clinic operations. The Practice Manager works closely with department leadership to implement policies and procedures, monitor budgets, and support staff.
· Coordinate daily administrative functions such as faculty, staff, and rotating learner scheduling, patient flow, and resource allocation to optimize department operations.
· Assist in the development, implementation, and revision of departmental policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of care.
· Support budget development and monitoring, including tracking expenses and assisting with financial reporting.
· Oversee human resource functions including assisting with hiring and recruitment processes, onboarding, staff training, and performance evaluations.
· Manage purchasing and inventory processes to ensure timely availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
· Monitor departmental financial records and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
· Recommend staffing changes, promotions, or adjustments to meet operational needs.
· Serve as a liaison between clinical staff, administrative personnel, and external vendors or service providers.
· Identify opportunities to improve workflow, reduce costs, and enhance patient experience.
· Ensure compliance with relevant institutional policies, regulations, and procedures.
· Promote team unity and engagement
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in a related discipline and 1 year experience in a medical practice or health care setting.Experience in healthcare administration, preferably within a medical practice or clinical setting.
· Familiarity with budgeting, human resources, and operational management.
· Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, staff, and external partners.
· Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
· Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.
· Basic knowledge of the heath field as it applies to the positions specific operational responsibilities.
· Proficiency with electronic health records systems and standard office software.
· Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
