Job Summary:
The Radiographer will perform clinical duties to care for Heart and Vascular procedure patients of Upstate University Hospital, including but not limited to locations of IR, HVC, and OR. Operate lab equipment such as medical imaging systems, Mapping systems, IVUS and FFR applications, and thrombectomy equipment. They will ensure proper functioning of equipment in room and ensure radiation safety measures are followed for patients and staff members. Ensure radiographic exposure factors are set appropriately for the procedure, maintenance of acquired images and proper transference to archival databases, post procedure room maintenance (tear down, sharps disposal, cleaning etc. as needed). Demonstrates effective, professional, polite, friendly and courteous oral and written communication in all team, visitor and patient interactions.
Minimum Qualifications:
AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, NYS license/registration and ARRT (must obtain within 1 year of appointment), one year experience as a radiologic technologist, plus current CPR certification required at the time of appointment.. Salary/title level commensurate with qualifications.
*Candidates who possess an A.A.S in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, NYS license/registration or eligible, and no experience will be considered for appointment to an entry level (SL1 or SL2) position at a commensurate salary.
