Job Summary:
This position is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and will function as the Front Desk Team Lead for Department of Radiology (DT), nursing station clerks, including, but not limited to, creating staffing schedules to ensure all front desk check-in areas are fully staffed, filling in for absences, handling supervisor escalations, and coordinating with technologists/nurses and managing the flow of outpatient procedures. Participates in the employment process to include recruitment, hiring, disciplinary processes and evaluation of employees under purview. Advises staff of errors and coaches them regarding corrections. Composing/updating training material and training new employees. Work closely with EPIC and Radiant representatives on hardware and software issues and suggests system improvements and enhancements to optimize department function, where available. Devise and coordinate a successful computer downtime policy and procedures. Work closely with technical supervisors to ensure a smooth flow of in- and outpatients from initial check-in to completion of the examination. Create and maintain an efficient employee work schedule template that balances departmental need with available resources, and make suitable minimal-staffing modifications when necessary to cover expected and unexpected leave. Complete performance evaluations and processes time off requests and payroll for employees. Serve as scheduling liaison to internal and external agencies to ensure ongoing policy education that meets the mutual needs of all in the delivery of in- and out-patient imaging services. Troubleshoot and improve processes and procedures as department policies change and/or new resources become available.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree and three years relevant administrative experience (preferably in a hospital or medical call center), or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational and computer skills required. Supervisory experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with medical terminology and patient/staff scheduling preferred.
Work Days:
Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
