Job Summary:

The Biobehavioral Health Unit (BBHU Inpatient Unit)(Hutchings Building 7, 3rd floor). This is an 11-bed inpatient unit that provides behavioral and mental health care and one to one assisted living care to individuals 5-17 years of age with multiple mental and behavioral health diagnoses who also display severe challenging behavior. The unit operates a bio-behavioral model using multi-disciplinary assessments, functional analysis, defining and tracking of target behaviors, individualized treatment of target behavior, caregiver training, and relevant psychiatric/educational needs, among other ancillary services. In this role, you will use your nursing skills and knowledge to work closely with the behavioral team on improving the lives of our patients and families. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State

Work Days:

Day with 12 hour shifts every other weekend and holidays. May occasionally float to nights.
