Job Summary:

The Technical Services Assistant is responsible for the following:

  • Administration of all video recording systems, (Exacqvison, Truvision etc).
  • Maintain/troubleshoot/repair/replace, all technical equipment including: video systems, all card access components, CCTV cameras and storage units, all facets of radio dispatching system, etc.
  • Provide recommendations for security equipment and placement during phases of new construction and retro fits/upgrades for existing areas.
  • Process all department requests for evidence involving video and audio recordings including review, capture, and retention for purposes of criminal investigation/prosecution and administrative investigations.
  • Maintain/oversee the Automated Report Management System (ARMS) and NICE voice logger system: create and monitor user accounts.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of all technical equipment and applications used by the department
  • Administration of the Softwarehouse, CCure 9000 card access systems

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Security Guard License and NYS Driver License required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Security operations in public or private sector preferred. Working knowledge of technical systems including Softwarehouse, CCure 9000 card access systems and video recording systems including Exacqvision, Truvision, etc. preferred.
