Job Summary:

Functions as an assistant to the multi disciplinary team in the Operating Room and performs surgical technologist functions for all surgical procedures. The Surgical Technologist 1 exemplifies the Upstate mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Upstate policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

Meets NYS Civil Service appointment requirements to the title of T.H. Surgical Technologist 1. Must be eligible for certification by Association of Surgical Technologists through the completion of a formal certificate or degree program in Surgical Technology or by meeting the Association of Surgical Technologists experience requirements. Current CPR certification.

Days/Evenings/Nights based on operational needs with rotating weekends and holiday call required.
