Job Summary:

Under general supervision an Ultrasound Technologist performs routine diagnostic procedures and may have individual responsibility for training and leading the work of other employees, with the knowledge, intensity and responsibilities as specified on the attached Job Description/Performance Review. To identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age specific needs. Willingly performs other duties as requested.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of an approved US department of Education Ultrasound/Imaging program, or equivalent on the job training with RDMS certification in Abdomen and OB/GYN and RVT. Must be CPR-BLS certified at the time of appointment. Registered or Registry eligible as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with documentation of CEU requirements. 

New graduates who are not currently RDMS certified in Abdomen and OB/GYN will be required to become certified within 1 year of appointment and required to become RVT certified within 2 years of appointment. 

Preferred Qualifications:

BS Preferred. Minimum 1-year post-certificate hospital experience preferred. Prefer experience in OB/GYM, Abdominal, small parts and Vascular ultrasound.
