The Nappi Wellness Institute is a five floor, 200,000 square foot outpatient facility on the downtown Upstate campus that brings together primary and specialty health care to meet the needs of our patients, our community, and our care providers.
This new space is designed to encourage collaboration, with several health care services under one roof, including integrated social work services, nutrition counseling, palliative care and behavioral health care. Each multidisciplinary care team is supported with the latest technology and best practices for improved patient care, patient experience and efficiency of care.
For patient’s convenience and expedited care, the institute also has patient laboratory services, imaging, and pharmacy on site.
This new approach improves access to care, provides an opportunity to address patient needs more seamlessly and foster greater collaboration and coordination of care between providers.
Together, each practice prioritizes preventive health and promotion of good health and wellness to reduce future hospitalization and emergency treatment.
The Nappi Wellness Institute has been designed to optimize health and well-being in seven areas: air, comfort, fitness, light, mind, nourishment, and water to achieve WELL Building Certification.
As the first WELL Certified building in Central New York, this is also one of a handful of certified healthcare facilities in the country. By meeting these high standards for health and wellbeing, Upstate continues to actively prioritize the wellness of our patients and staff.
