Job Summary:
The 340B Coordinator will be responsible for assisting all aspects of the contract pharmacy 340B process. Perform audits on a scheduled basis; may involve presenting and resolving reconciliation issues as they arise during the monitoring and reconciliation process. Draft correspondence; review/edit purchase requisitions; maintain 340B data bases; Review/place purchase orders for services, pharmaceuticals and other miscellaneous items in a timely and efficient manner. Make entries into Lawson, Third Party Administrator (TPA) platforms and the NYS accounting system. Track 340B revenues. Reconcile invoices with Accounts Payable and vendors; track purchase orders as necessary. Reconcile data with contract pharmacies. Stay current with federal 340B program regulations and complete annual education. Develop reports that can be used to educate staff and assist management in tracking the overall financial impact to Upstate. Build other reports, as appropriate, to monitor and improve 340B Program compliance and performance. Maintain up-to-date policies and procedures on 340B purchasing processes. Applies a high degree of analytical, interpretive and evaluative skills, frequently dealing with complex concepts and imaginative approaches to problem definition and resolution. Track financial impact over time, identify root causes of adverse trends, and make recommendations to improve the program's financial stability. Develop and foster working relationships with internal working counterparts (IMT, Pharmacy Development, Finance) to facilitate productive exchanges of information to improve program efficiency and promote program compliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and one year relevant experience OR Associate's degree and three years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office with an emphasis on advanced use of Excel. Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:
340B, Pharmacy, Financial or in-depth analytic experience preferred.
Work Days:
M-F 8am-430pm with part-time remote opportunity
