Job Summary:

This is a temporary, 6-month training program in collaboration with NYS OASAS and Farnham Family Services.

These will be 4 day a week clinical, 1 day didactic positions. Outpatient and community work with underserved populations. Candidates will work directly with patients in community homeless shelters. NP and PA candidates will learn how to deliver care for patients with substance use and co-occurring disorders. Candidates will learn psychotherapy, psychiatric medication management, harm reduction, and buprenorphine maintenance. Close supervision and didactic material is provided by Upstate Faculty.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required (NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice). Must have NPI number and be Medicare Enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (eligibility criteria for NP requires National Certification through AANP or ANCC, and Master's Degree) (eligibility criteria for PA requires graduation from an accredited PA program and National Certification through NCCPA). Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.

our community to enhance health and to assist those battling substance use disorders. The program's research is designed to study this field to lead to innovations for optimal care of patients at Upstate and disseminate this information to our colleagues.

L4: $75,392 - $100,000

Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. The salary range depicted is based on full time, 1.0 FTE and would be prorated accordingly for less than 1.0 FTE.
