Job Summary:

The Adult Hematology Advanced Practice Provider will serve as a full-time inpatient provider at Upstate University Hospital. The APP will provide management of the Bone Marrow Transplant (Hematology) patients.

APP's Responsibilities will include:

Providing expert level clinical care & coordination of care via a full range of services that will improve quality of patient care

Assessing & evaluating patients, ordering appropriate laboratory testing & diagnostic studies.

Arranging for referrals, testing, consultation & therapeutic services.

Maintaining outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians & all members of the health care team.  

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required. Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant & current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also required. Have a NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire.

CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Inpatient, Oncology/Hematology experience  

Work Days:

​Monday-Friday Days, with Rotation to Weekends & Holidays​
