Job Summary:
The Department of Physical Therapy Education at Upstate Medical University invites applications from qualified candidates to join our core faculty in a full-time, 12 month, tenure eligible position. This faculty member will be responsible for teaching in relevant content areas, advancing a research agenda, and engaging in service. Teaching responsibilities will include course development and instruction of didactic courses in the area of the candidates expertise. Research activity will include a rigorous research agenda, dissemination of research findings, and student mentorship. Service activity will be consistent with the mission of Upstate Medical University, the College of Health Professions and the Department of Physical Therapy Education.
Minimum Qualifications:
1) NYS Physical Therapy License or eligible required
2) Academic doctorate (PhD, EdD, DSc required), ABD will also be considered
3) Contemporary clinical expertise
*Candidates will be considered at a commensurate title/salary
Preferred Qualifications:
1) Clinical and teaching expertise in Kinesiology, Orthopedics and Anatomy
2) Established scholarly agenda
3) Proven track record of excellence in an academic position
4) Professional leadership experience
