Job Summary:

The Assistant Supervisor will provide support to the Flow Cytometry/Hematopathology Supervisor by coordinating daily laboratory activities, assisting with staff oversight and training, monitoring workflow and turnaround times, troubleshooting operational and technical issues, and helping maintain instrument readiness and quality standards. The position will also provide a designated leadership resource for staff during periods when the Supervisor is unavailable, helping to ensure continuity of laboratory operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS Licensed to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT), Master's degree in one of the chemical, physical or biological sciences with NYS CLT License and two years of Clinical laboratory experience OR NYS Licensed to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist with a minimum of four years of Clinical Laboratory experience. Specific visual requirements include use of both eyes, depth perception, ability to distinguish colors, and shades of colors.

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years of supervisory experience.

Work Days:

M-F 8:00-4:30 rotating weekends and holidays
