Job Summary:

The Child Life Specialist provides developmental and psychosocial support for pediatric patients and families in an out-patient setting. Assesses children's developmental and coping needs and provides preparation, age appropriate diversion and emotional support to minimize distress associated with hospitalization and/or medical encounters. Collaborates as a member of an interdisciplinary health care team.

 Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Child Life. Must have completed a child life internship under the direct supervision of a Certified Child Life Specialist. Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) credential required or ability to obtain certification within one year of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Child Life or related field preferred.

Work Days:

Monday - Friday.
