Job Summary:

The Clerical Specialist II is primarily responsible for receiving, reviewing, and processing incoming new patient referrals. Additional duties include but are not limited to: conduct, record, review new patient referrals to ensure appropriate information is included and communicate with referring offices for additional documentation, use of EPIC for the creation of referral and relaying of information to providers for review, provide clerical support in an Ambulatory care setting as directed by supervisor, assists with front desk tasks as needed, and to follow through with referral tasks as directed by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

An Associate's degree and two (2) years relevant patient financial/insurance services experience in a healthcare related setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
