Job Summary: The Pediatric Palliative Care team, CHOICES team and Department of Pediatrics at upstate Golisano Children's Hospital in Syracuse, New York invites applicants for a full-time pediatric palliative care physician with high prospects for future leadership/directorship to join our division. The successful candidate will be expected to see patients in the inpatient, outpatient, and home settings. The CHOICES team provides services for patients with serious, life-threatening, and/or complex chronic medical conditions from the perinatal period through adolescence/young adulthood. Candidates must have exemplary communication skills, thrive in an interdisciplinary team environment and are as strong ambassador for palliative medicine. Services provided by the CHOICES team include care coordination, assistance with complex decision-making including goals of care discussions and end -of-life care discussion, pain and symptom management including patients who are medically complex, advocacy, emotional support. This is an academic appointment with responsibilities for teaching medical students, residents and fellows in addition to other disciplines. Minimum Qualifications:

NY state license or eligible; Board certified/eligible in Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine and Pediatrics.
