Job Summary:

Serves as Coordinator of Laboratory specimen reception, order accessioning, labeling, delivery, report preparation, answering phone calls. Coordinates staffing, Reviews employee entries, and Completes variance reports. Communicates regularly with Associate Technical Director and Supervisors to provide section updates and share information. Functions as an Instructional Support Assistant in the Laboratory. Process samples in the Core Laboratory.

Minimum Qualifications:

AAS Degree in Science related field or pertinent college level courses, preferably related to the medical field or a combination of equivalent relevant education and experience required.

1 to 2 years of experience working in a clinical setting. Knowledge of medical terminology mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

BS in Science related field and 4 years prior laboratory experience. Working knowledge of laboratory theory/disease processes and automation. NYS License or Limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician. Working knowledge of EPIC, Sunquest Information Systems, Networking and PC's

Work Days:

Day shift; Monday through Friday with Rotating Weekends and Holidays
