Job Summary:

SUNY Upstate Pediatrics Team is in search of a Clinical Research Associate II who will coordinate Clinical Research studies in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases.

The CRA II will facilitate and coordinate the daily clinical trial activities and will play a critical role in the conduct of the studies. The CRA will work with the PI, the Pediatric infectious Diseases Division, Staff, study, sponsors and tech institutional IRB, research accounting, CTO, etc. to provide guidance, coordination, compliance, financial and other related aspects of clinical trials activity. The research interests in the Pediatric ID Division are vaccinology and viral epidemiology and pathogenesis of Pediatric Respiratory Tract Infections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient interview and education to determine eligibility for clinical trial enrollment.
  • Manage data collection and recording for clinical trials, data base maintenance for clinical trials, and oversight of research supplies.
  • provide patient education, eligibility assessment and enrollment as appropriate.
  • responsible for clinical trials billing to ensure timely submission and reconciliation.
  • Coordination of budget negotiations, coordinates study auditor visits, filing reports to study sponsors and IRB, maintain budget and process expenditures.
  • Completion and maintenance of study related documentation and monitoring requirements
  • Coordinator for at least one research study, including IRB submissions.
  • Will report adverse events to the study sponsors the IRB etc. as required in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with 3 years of Clinical Research Experience.

NYS RN License at time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Licensed Advanced Practice Nursing professional preferred.
