Job Summary:

The Clinical Research Associate will help coordinate Clinical Research Studies in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases.  The CRA will facilitate and coordinate daily clinical trial activities and will play a critical role in the conduct of the studies. Will be required to work with the PI, the Pediatric ID Division staff, study sponsors and the institutional IRB, research accounting, CTO, etc.

The Pediatric ID Division research interests include vaccinology and viral epidemiology and pathogenesis of pediatric respiratory tract infections. 

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Communication with the study sponsor and IRB.
  • Completion of case report forms, collection and submission of data
  • Screening, enrolling and registering patients and the maintenance of clinical research study supplies. 
  • Collect and submit clinical trial patient data.  
  • Help provide coordination, compliance, financial and other related aspects of clinical trials activity.

Perform various administrative duties, which may include:

  • Proper collection and shipment of lab samples.
  • Billing, budgeting, and contact administration.
  • Maintenance of clinical research study supplies and drug accountability.   
  • Perform patient care responsibilities related to research protocol. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, basic computer skills and good written/oral communication and organizational skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of Clinical Research experience.
  • Bachelor prepared RN degree and/or Advanced Practice nursing will be considered.
  • CRA certified or eligible.
  • CITI certified or equivalent preferred.

Work Days:

Monday - Friday, Days
