Job Summary:

The Coding Quality Auditor ensures the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of coded clinical data through comprehensive review of inpatient medical records. This position is primarily responsible for conducting internal and external audits, as part of the department's internal compliance plan.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate Degree in Health Information Technology with five (5) years experience in Health Information Management OR Bachelors Degree in Health Information Technology with three (3) years experience in Health Information Management required. Must have a current Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification from American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in health information technology and/or related field with five (5) years experience in Health Information Management. Prior auditing, DRG validation, and denial management experience.

Monday-Friday Days
