Job Summary:

The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for credentialing, recredentialing, and privileging of practitioners in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. Performs all assigned activities associated with initial and re-appointments, including verification, peer recommendations, and follow-up on concerns that may delay completion of the credentialing or privileging process. The position also includes tracking and updating database to reflect current compliance with credentialing and privileging elements.  

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates degree and one year of experience in a related field (such as human resources recruiting, credentialing, privileging, or enrollment) or other investigative and interpretive tasks similar in nature to those a credentialing coordinator performs or equivalent combination required. Excellent customer service skills, computer database skills, and word processing required. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people in written, oral, and electronic forms required.    

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of managed care enrollment desirable. Credentialing experience preferred. Certification as either Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Professional in Medical Services Management (CPMSM) from the National Association of Medical Staff Services preferred. 

Work Days:

M-F 7:30-4:00
