Job Summary:

Must possess and demonstrate working knowledge of specific techniques and sequences of steps used in performing dental treatment in all aspects of general and operative dental procedures; universal and safety precautions observed in the operation of x-ray equipment and the treatment of patients; handle dental instruments effectively; follow written and verbal instructions; must also demonstrate understanding of sterile instrument processing,
including use of autoclave.

Duties included, but not limited to:

• Serving as chair side assistant to dental provider, handling and manipulating various dental instruments and pieces of apparatus as directed by the dental provider
• Greeting patients in a friendly and courteous manner
• Recording patient's vital signs and follow proper medical record documentation protocol
• Reviewing patient's consent for treatment to ensure appropriate signatures are obtained.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma and either one year of experience in dental assisting or graduation from an accredited program in dental assisting required.
