Job Summary:

1. Coordinates the enrollment of physicians and midlevel with insurance plans on behalf of MedBest clients

2. Stores and maintains current data and enrollment history (hard copy, online data source and computer database) for clients/physicians, to include but not limited to current CVs, licenses, identification numbers, effective dates, etc.

3. Generates enrollment/re-enrollment packages or electronic submission with required documents for physicians and plans as determined by client management; obtains physician signature and disclosure information and submits packages to plans; follows up and provides additional information and/or documentation as necessary

4. Coordinates the enrollment of physicians and midlevel in the delegated plans with UUMAS

5. Facilitates the clients consistent participation or non-participation with health plans based on clients instruction; initiates contract termination when directed by client

6. Promptly notifies physicians, client management and client billing department of participation status (acceptance, rejection, I.D. numbers, effective date, etc.) in plans

7. Notifies plans of changes in physician status (i.e. termination, retirement, liability insurance cancellation)

8. May be required to provide reports to clients showing current physician insurance status

9. Receives correspondence, faxes, telephone calls from insurance carriers for clients; prioritizes and distributes information to clients as necessary

10. Facilitates and participates in communication between clients and insurance companies to resolve problems surrounding physician enrollment and claims processing

11. Performs other duties as assigned/request

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates Degree or pertinent college level courses and three years of progressively responsible experience required. At least two years experience in a medical environment or health insurance office required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities required:
Excellent organizational and communication skills required. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality required. Excellent typing/word processing skills required.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands (quantified):
Normal office conditions. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time. Extensive keyboard use is required. Ability to use a telephone and fax with proficiency. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.

Alternative to Minimum Qualifications:
Will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
