Job Summary:
The Equipment Services Trainer is responsible for onboarding and training new team members, providing refresher and cross-training programs, and ensuring staff are competent in equipment handling, decontamination, setup, and operational procedures. This role develops and updates training materials, conducts skills assessments, creates educational resources, and collaborates with leadership and clinical teams to improve equipment-related training across the organization. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively within a team environment, and a strong commitment to patient-focused service are essential for success in this role.
When not training, the trainer supports daily department operations, including equipment decontamination, delivery, inspection, minor repairs, inventory coordination, data entry, and customer service. The role also promotes quality improvement, workplace safety, effective communication, professional development, and adherence to departmental standards and ethical practices while maintaining a collaborative approach and a focus on meeting patient and customer needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a healthcare environment and/or providing training preferred.
- Knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE), proper cleaning techniques, and basic computer skills, including information lookup and data entry, preferred.
Work Days:
Monday through Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Additional hours may be required as needed.
