Job Summary:

Performs routine and specialized Cytogenetic procedures and microscope analysis. Serves as FISH Coordinator.

Minimum Qualifications:

Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Masters degree in one of the chemical, physical or biological sciences, and two years of Clinical laboratory experience OR NYS Licensed/eligible to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist and a minimum of four years of Clinical Laboratory experience. Experience in Cytogenetics required; specifically, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) .  Specific visual requirements include use of both eyes, depth perception, ability to distinguish colors and shades of colors

Preferred Qualifications:

BS in Molecular Sciences (Cytogenetics or Molecular Diagnostics. ASCP certification as Clinical specialist in Cytogenetics.

Work Days:

M-F 8:00-4:30
