Job Summary:
The Advance Practice Provider will collaborate with Oncology physicians and a multidisciplinary Oncology team to provide care for Oncology patients at our SUNY Gynecologic Oncology Clinic.
As an Upstate GYN Oncology APP you will work the attending physicians and be responsible for:
Providing comprehensive health assessments for GYN Oncology patients.
Develop plans that include medical health histories, physical examination,
Develop plans based on clinical diagnoses and problems.
Analyze diagnostic testing and laboratory results, and ordering interventions based on clinical assessments.
Will consult with physicians for abnormal findings as appropriate and assist in planning and ordering care and treatment for patients requiring triage.
Actively participate in quality improvements working on teams and committees.
A Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant is a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team who demonstrates professionalism and leadership within the institution, exemplifying the Upstate mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Upstate policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required. Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant & current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also required. Have a NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire.
CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior surgery and oncology experience preferred.

Monday - Friday, Days
