Job Summary:

The IMT Administrative Assistant will support the Chief Medical Information Officer and the Administrative Information Systems, and HART (HIM, Access, Revenue Cycle & Training) departments within the Information Management & Technology division. Duties include, but are not limited to, answering telephones, transferring calls and taking messages as appropriate, meeting and greeting clients and visitors, coordinating and scheduling meetings, attending meetings to document meeting minutes, and distributing meeting agendas and minutes as needed. The Administrative Assistant will also assist with project based work, prepare travel arrangements for department and vendors, assisting with office supply ordering as necessary, ensuring supplies are stocked, coordinating office set up and orientation for new employees, and working collaboratively with other IMT administrative assistants to cover and support the IMT Division.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree in related field and a minimum of three years relevant administrative assistance experience OR Bachelors and one year relevant administrative assistance experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Excellent written/oral communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and computer skills required. Experience with Information Technology preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with SUNY Upstate Medical University policies, procedures and systems. Superior communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent writing, punctuation and grammar. Strong user of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Work Days:

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00pm
