Job Summary:

The Jr. Cybersecurity Administrator will be diligent and proactive in protecting Upstate's computer systems and networks by identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing measures to prevent unauthorized access. This role involves monitoring computer networks, and investigating security events. The Jr. Cybersecurity Administrator performs research to keep up to date on the latest Cybersecurity trends and threats. Responsible for handling helpdesk tickets for the Cybersecurity group and administers Cybersecurity products under the direction of senior staff. Remediates known viruses on computers and approves website access after research.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles & practices and familiarity with cybersecurity tools & technologies required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or similar.
Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards such as HIPAA, and NIST.

Work Days:

Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM to include some evenings, nights, and weekends
