Job Summary: Directs and supervises nursing services in accordance with governmental and other regulatory standards. Oversees nursing care essential to the assessment, promotion, maintenance and restoration of patients health and wellness. Oversees patient needs and suggests solutions to patient care problems. In conjunction with Medical Director and Practice Manager interviews clinical staff and has input into new hires. Orients, trains, evaluates (in conjunction with Practice Manager and/or Medical Director) all clinical staff in the Internalist office. Ensures the development and delivery of nursing education to staff. Ensures that an acceptable patient flow is achieved at all times and that staff are professional and maintain confidentiality at all times. Ensures that provider needs are met as they relate to the Internalist office. Tracks and reports all supplies used weekly in collaboration with Practice Manager. Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required (NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice). Must have NPI number and be Medicare Enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) OR be eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire (eligibility criteria for NP requires National Certification through AANP or ANCC, and Master's Degree) (eligibility criteria for PA requires graduation from an accredited PA program and National Certification through NCCPA). Initial certification must be present or obtained within 6 months of hire. Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of five years combined professional nursing experience
(preferably in general internal medicine practice)

Work Days:

M - F 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
