Job Summary: Primary coverage for Upstate Orthopedics.   Add On program for acute strains, sprains and non-fracture related MSK injuries Monday-Friday regular business hours. Serves as the Physician Extender to the orthopedic hand division.
Minimal evening and weekend coverage for the OrthoNOW after hours program required. Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required (NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice). Must have NPI number and be Medicare Enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) OR be eligible for Medicare Enrollment  (eligibility criteria for NP requires National Certification through AANP or ANCC, and Master's Degree) (eligibility criteria for PA requires graduation from an accredited PA program and National Certification through NCCPA). Initial certification must be present at time of hire. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
