Job Summary: The Nurse Practitioner will work as a physician extender in a busy Family Medicine practice that delivers comprehensive patient care in an ambulatory outpatient setting. Non-physician providers are valued members of the clinical practice with faculty physician supervision and active participation in a clinical teaching environment. This person will work in collaboration with physicians in providing diagnostic and treatment services to individuals. Will assess, diagnose and develop a plan of care in accordance with practice protocols. Responsible for obtaining complete medical histories,performing physical examinations, and ordering appropriate diagnostic tests. Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered NP (NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice). Must have NPI number and be Medicare Enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) OR be eligible for Medicare Enrollment by time of hire (eligibility criteria for NP requires National Certification through AANP or ANCC, and Master's Degree). Initial certification must be present or obtained by time of hire. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous work in a Family Medicine clinic, either as RN or NP student completing training clinicals.

Work Days:

Monday - Friday daytime hours

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. The salary range depicted is based on full time, 1.0 FTE and would be prorated accordingly for less than 1.0 FTE.
