Job Summary:
Depending on experience, a traineeship is required for 26 weeks at SG06 level. Upon satisfactory completion of traineeship, incumbent is promoted to a journeyman title, SG07. Duties include but not limited to: refer incoming calls and messages; greet and assist visitors; record preparation; initiate patient services; process physician and nursing staff orders; and input of patient registration and other relevant information into hospital computer system. Must be able to communicate effectively in order to transfer information, as well as complete a variety of tasks within a given time frame. Excellent communication and organizational skills are necessary. Computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology desired.
Minimum Qualifications:
For consideration for this title, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:
One year full-time clerical, secretarial or patient care experience in a healthcare setting.

Work Days:
Schedule based on a 37.5 hour work week. Rotating shifts Day/Evening with holidays and every other weekend required.
