Job Summary:

The OBGYN Advanced Practice Provider will provide care to patients at Crouse Hospital and our ambulatory outpatient office located in the Crouse Physician's Office Building. The OBGYN Advanced Practice Provider will provide both inpatient and outpatient management of the women's health patient.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert level clinical care & coordination of care via a full range of services that will improve quality of patient care, assessing & evaluating patients, ordering appropriate laboratory testing & diagnostic studies, arranging for referrals, testing, consultation & therapeutic services, and maintaining outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians & all members of the health care team.
  • The obstetrical services may include antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care to include the performance of circumcisions, ED OB evaluations, admissions, discharges, and management for all the above.
  • The gynecological services will include pre-operative and post-operative care to include L&D Triage, ED evaluations, admissions, and discharges.
  • Rotating weekend and holiday coverage of L&D may be required.
Minimum Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Nursing and NYS licensure as Nurse Midwife, certification by the ANCM; and license or eligible as a RN in New York State. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required. Current Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification or will obtain within first month of employment. Must have NPI number and be Medicare Enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) OR be eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire.

ACLS, PALS, NRP Provider (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), NALS, EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring), fetal monitoring NST with interpretation, and amniotic fluid index (AFI) interpretations.

Preferred Qualifications:

At least two years of clinical experience, one of which in obstetrics and gynecology preferred.

Work Days:

Monday through Sunday Shifts vary includes holidays and/or weekends

L5: $92,000 - $147,004

A sign on bonus of $10,000 will be offered to the successful candidate - half to be paid at time of hire, and half to be paid after 6 months of service.

Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. The salary range depicted is based on full time, 1.0 FTE and would be prorated accordingly for less than 1.0 FTE.
