Job Summary:

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing assigned shift-specific operations within a hospital environment to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming setting for patients, visitors, and staff. Key responsibilities include managing human resources and operational functions, staffing and workforce planning, regulatory compliance, employee training and development, and overall department performance. This role oversees the cleaning, maintenance, and appearance of one or more buildings and surrounding grounds while ensuring adherence to organizational, safety, and regulatory standards. The Operations Manager must also be capable of performing and providing coverage for housekeeping, janitorial, and housekeeping supervisor responsibilities as needed. Success in this role requires strong written and verbal communication skills, effective interpersonal abilities, and the leadership skills necessary to develop teams, drive operational excellence, and support a positive patient experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree and three (3) years of relevant supervisory experience, preferably in a healthcare environment; or
  • Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of relevant supervisory experience.

Candidates with an Associate's degree and two (2) years of relevant supervisory experience, preferably in a healthcare environment, or a Bachelor's degree may be considered for an Operations Manager Trainee position at a commensurate title and salary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of DNV accreditation standards.
  • Previous managerial experience in a unionized healthcare environment.

Work Days:

Tuesday through Saturday 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
