Job Summary:

A Grossing Technician is a specialized laboratory professional who prepares surgical tissue specimens for pathological examination, working under the supervision of Pathologists' Assistants. Key responsibilities include receiving, measuring, and describing specimens, as well as performing gross dissection on routine, low-complexity samples, while strictly adhering to safety protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS license/registration or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Histotechnician, Histotechnologist, Clinical lab Technician. *Candidates with less than 2 years clinical lab experience or with a NYS license/registration or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician will be considered for appointment to a commensurate title and salary. Must be able to distinguish colors for the purposes of performing laboratory tests.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience grossing biopsy specimens.

Work Days:

M-F flexible based on workflow and tech availability 8:00-4:30
