Job Summary:

SUNY Upstate Pediatrics is seeking a Research Scientist, who will ensure smooth, accurate progress of the research study from planning stage through completion and post-study closure by working with the principal investigator, human subjects, Institutional Review Board (IRB), and study sponsors.

Responsible to further support studies through data management and high-level data analysis. Will be required to engage with parents of children who are newly diagnosed with autism or related disorders, who have difficulty accessing services or comprehending study protocols. Along with engaging with research sponsors.

Duties and Activities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate various research trials and ensure compliance with federal guidelines.
  • Interact and coordinate with various internal and external constituents including sponsors, cooperative groups, IRB, and regulatory agencies.
  • Enroll, register, and screen patients for clinical research.
  • Collect and submit data.
  • Budgeting a contract administration.
  • Curate, summarize, and analyze data for clinical research.
  • Assist PI with grant submissions, renewals, and preliminary investigations and Research related patient care duties associated with the research protocol.
  • Maintenance of Clinical Research study supplies.
  • Perform various administrative activities which may include proper collection and shipment of lab samples.

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters Degree in Psychology or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Doctoral Degree in Psychology or related field with 3-5 years of experience.

Work Days:

Monday - Friday, Days
