Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Inventory Control Specialist works with and at the direction of the Outpatient Pharmacy Inventory Control Manager. This role will work at the various outpatient pharmacy locations providing assistance with the direct day to day inventory responsibility of receiving and stocking incoming and outgoing orders while managing out of stocks and expired medications. Duties include providing department purchasing services, providing inventory coverage at any of the pharmacy locations as needed for receiving and order management, analyzing inventory to return pharmaceuticals and working directly with purchasing team to monitor drug shortages with oversight/implementation and execution/monitoring of pharmacy cost savings initiatives. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates degree and two years of pharmacy experience (in a hospital and/or State setting preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Excellent written/oral communication, analytical and organizational skills required.  

Preferred Qualifications:

Pharmacy purchasing experience with knowledge of 340B drug discount program.

Work Days:

M-F, 8 hour shifts between 8:00am-6pm with rotating weekends based on operational need
