Job Summary:

As a PHP Web Developer will be responsible for providing support for the development of database driven web applications. Will design and implement web based applications, which includes developing broad and detail specifications, writing and testing programs, and documenting the system and its components. Analyze and design the necessary interfaces for the resulting computer systems and external systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree (Computer Science or related field) and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant position. Experience with PHP web programming, developing database-driven web pages and applications (with authentication); PHP + (MySQL/MariaDB or Oracle). Experience with responsive web design: HTML5, CSS, etc. Experience programming for cross-browser compatibility: IE11, Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, mobile browsers, etc.

**Applicants that possess at least a BA in a related field + 1 year of experience may be considered for a Jr level appointment at a commensurate salary**

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters Degree (Computer Science or related field), 5 years experience. Preferred competencies include: -Linux familiarity: scheduled tasks, access rights, etc. -Apache+PHP web server administration: httpd.conf, vhosts, .htaccess, and PHP-FPM -PHP Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) -Bootstrap/jQuery/JavaScript programming -API programming; communicating with RESTful and SOAP services -Working with data structures: reading, traversing, and writing XML, JSON, CSV, Excel, etc& WCAG compliance -Using web content management systems -Also, experience with Cascade CMS programming: Velocity and/or XSLTa is considered a plus, as is version control experience.

Work Days:

M-F 8am-5pm
