Job Summary:

The Program Coordinator provides curricular coordination and support for all required and elective courses taught by Bioethics and Humanities faculty, including Health Systems Science courses, for other ethics educational efforts in the graduate medical education and continuing medical and professional education, and for the future ethics liaison and Master of Bioethics degree programs; and will also provide business management support for the Center for Bioethics and Humanities.

Specific responsibilities include: serving as a liaison to the Office of Undergraduate Medical Education and the Office of Evaluation, Assessment and Research; building and managing individual course sites in Brightspace; editing and proofreading syllabi and other course materials; overseeing faculty, session, course and program evaluation procedures; assisting with grade book management; mapping course objectives to graduation competencies and educational program objectives; booking rooms; coordinating external speakers, guest lecturers and panelists; organizing team meetings and retreats; reviewing the Center budget regularly; and maintaining up-to-date spreadsheets for all Center accounts.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and four years OR Master's degree and two years in an appropriate discipline (e.g., bioethics, humanities, social sciences or related fields). Excellent written/oral communication, analytical, financial, and computer skills required, including advanced skills in spreadsheets, databases and scheduling tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in coordination or management of courses and curricula.
