Job Summary:

The Project Coordinator in the Department of Quality is responsible for assisting the Associate Chief Quality Officer in supporting and coordinating quality initiatives and projects critical to regulatory compliance and patient safety and satisfaction. The project coordinator reports to AQCO, collaborating with multiple teams to build and maintain quality department websites, newsletters, and platforms, including the twice weekly updates to OneUp requested by the organization. The project coordinator will manage mission critical performance improvement and patient safety projects, including the patient safety structural measures as required by CMS. The project coordinator maintains and schedules calendars and meetings for ACQO. The project coordinator collaborates to collect data for projects and maintain summaries for all. The Project Coordinator provides various administrative support for projects and program support as delegated by ACQO. The project coordinators work with multiple staff members in the quality department and outside the department to coordinate work, projects, and programs initiated under the guidance of ACQO. The project coordinator assists in organizing quality meetings and follow-up surveys and maintains credits for quality meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years of relevant experience or Associate degree with four years of relevant experience in healthcare. Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational and customer service skills are required. Strong proficiency with MS Office, Excel, and system/web-based software programs. Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge and/or use of Health Information Systems in a hospital setting or experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred. Prior knowledge of quality tools like Lean Six Sigma or PDSA is strongly preferred. Prior experience and work with a Quality team/initiative/ department are strongly preferred.
