Job Summary:
The Hospital Medicine Program & Utilization Management (UM) Project Coordinator plays a key role in supporting various departments within UM and the Hospital Medicine Program by ensuring smooth operations, facilitating communication, and enhancing the overall cross-functional collaboration between academic, clinical, quality, and finance departments. This role ensures that projects are started, completed on time and within budget, and also aligns with business objectives. Responsible for oversight and completion of task delegation, serving also as a point of escalation for administrative issues. Position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, a self-driven and highly motivated individual who enjoys working autonomously, and is ready to jump in and support both behind the scenes and on-site, as needed. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and self-direction to ensure timely project completion and delivery.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience in a supervisory and/or administrative capacity, OR an Associate's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience in a supervisory and/or administrative capacity. Must have experience working with various hospital and academic programs/departments. Must be self-directed and self-motivated, able to function day to day with minimal oversight and direction. Must be technologically proficient with strong computer skills. Demonstrate high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams) and other commonly used business software to carry out administrative and operational projects. A strong communicator and multitasker, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to prioritize. Excels in cross-functional collaboration with internal teams, various members of hospital leadership, and external vendors. Will consider the right applicant with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree with focus in Informatics, Data Analytics, Business Administration or Healthcare Administration preferred. Experience working with mid-revenue cycle, clinical documentation, utilization management, and/or hospital based physician/academic programs. Experience or strong interest in data analytics, specifically with health care and revenue cycle focus. Background in project management.
Work Days:
M-F Days with rotating on-call and occasional evenings and weekends.
