Job Summary:
Specific services to include diagnostic assessment, treatment and discharge planning within a multidisciplinary treatment team model. Productivity bonuses available to increase compensation. Exposure to pediatric inpatient and pediatric consultative services in University Hospital will be the focus of the first two months. The remainder will focus on pediatric outpatient services in University Hospital Pediatric Outpatient clinics. Throughout the year, one 4-hour short call emergency psychiatry shift per week supports the psychiatric triage and disposition experience. Fridays are dedicated to didactic introductory classes in pediatric psychiatry. Caseload will allow for minimum two
hours per week of in-person supervision.
Minimum Qualifications:
NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required (NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice). Must have NPI number and be Medicare Enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) OR be eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire (eligibility criteria for NP requires National Certification through AANP or ANCC, and Master's Degree) (eligibility criteria for PA requires graduation from an accredited PA program and National Certification through NCCPA). Initial certification must be present or obtained within 6 months of hire. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have Masters Degree or DNP, NPI number, DEA certification, medical
malpractice insurance, National Certification through ANCC and be Medicare enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) and demonstrated experience in pediatric healthcare settings.
