Job Summary:

The researcher will design, conduct and analyze experiments brain extracellular matrix and neural glycobiology. An ideal candidate will have extensive experience with neural development and particular expertise in in vitro models of neuron maturation. The researcher should have a strong background in protein biochemistry, microscopy, and image analysis. The researcher will be expected to make substantial contributions to the writing of research articles describing their findings. The researcher should have an established track record as a postdoctoral associate and be highly motivated and with an ability to work in a collaborative environment. The researcher will work directly with the supervisor but will carry out work independently. The researcher will prepare scientific results for scientific meetings, publications, and research grants. May also function as a lab manager, in charge of purchasing, financial duties and training or mentoring other lab personnel.

Minimum Qualifications:

PhD in Neuroscience or related field and 5 years postdoctoral or related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

A background in protein glycosylation in the nervous system and chondroitin sulfate proteoglycans would be extremely valuable.

Weekdays and as needed
