Job Summary:
Join our growing primary care office conveniently located in downtown Syracuse! This long-standing practice offers interesting clinical exposure, in addition to working with seasoned providers and excellent staff! This dynamic role supports our providers throughout their workday, and our patients with their clinical needs as well. You will be a key contributor to a great office culture and leadership. This role will impact patients experiencing a thorough visit in our practice as well as working with patient through the EMR portal. This role is critical to the success of our practice and also satisfying for the individual working in it. The RN Nurse Supervisor plays a key role in the day-to-day guidance and support of the clinical team from a job duties perspective. The RN is expected to help assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care while overseeing the work of the licensed practical nurse, and ancillary clinical staff in the Practice. It is vital to the Department of Medicine to achieve the highest level of each component for success with patient outcomes and Primary Care providers in the pipeline.
Responsibilities/Duties: The RN Manager duties include, but are not limited to:
- The RN will complete their own hands-on patient care in the form of Nurse Visits, supporting providers where needed and telephone/ MyChart communication for thoroughly triaging patients.
- Manage MAs MOAs and LPNs with their daily tasks, alongside Lead LPN, for satisfactory execution of clinical work effecting the operations and workflow within the primary care office.
- Manage the schedule, in the absence of the Lead LPN, staff coverage, call-outs, daily schedules and vacation requests
- Build, update and lead training schedule for new hires, in conjunction with Lead LPN
- Involvement in MA and LPN interviews with Practice Manager
- Record concise, accurate and complete information regarding patient history, medications, teaching, etc., as per policy.
- Appropriate and professional telephone interactions to maintain communication between clinician and patient.
- Provide written patient education material.
- Triage accurately and timely
- Complete and maintain EPIC training and proficiency at all relevant nursing courses
- Aware and able to support clinical team in day-to-day workflows of phlebotomy component and lab tasks
- Staff meetings in partnership with Lead LPN and Practice Manager
- Perform other related duties, as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, licensed as a RN in New York State, and 3 years professional nursing experience. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in primary care and triage preferred.
Work Days:
Monday - Friday daytime hours

L3: $65,558 - $104,893
Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. The salary range depicted is based on full time, 1.0 FTE and would be prorated accordingly for less than 1.0 FTE.
