Job Summary:
Obtains authorizations for clinic procedures, insurance verifications; maintains referrals work queue and EPIC depot.
- Manage Department incoming and outgoing invoices
- Manage and distribute Organ Procurement Log
- Manage Providers allotment
- Answer the telephone, take accurate messages, transfer calls to appropriate staff or handle calls that are appropriate
- Maintain provider schedules and adjust templates when needed
- Assist with scheduling follow up appointments in the outpatient practice as requested by the practice policy
- Clinic check in and check out
- Coordinate review and approval of very high volume, time sensitive, confidential, and complicated documents
- Ensure all files have proper documentation (CVs, personal statements, publications, external reviewer letters, etc.)
- Coordinate calendar, schedule meetings, conference calls and other appointments for Vascular Surgery
- Travel and accommodation arrangements
- Handle mail and other correspondences; screen telephone calls and return calls
- Edit and proofread a wide range of documents
- Prepare and process expense reimbursements
- Liaison for the division with integral departments with the hospital and community organizations
- Act as the central coordinator for the Section and MSG related activities, including divisional meetings, retreats, CME courses, and other related activities. Coordinate scheduling of these events. Including: announcements, travel and hotel accommodations, prepare and distribute meeting materials, arrange meeting space and provide on-site support
- Assist with CV, educational and clinic portfolios for supporting faculty
- Coordinate yearly endowed lecture
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree or pertinent college level courses and four years of administrative healthcare experience. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
