Job Summary:

Offering an exciting opportunity to join our Radiology Department in an outpatient setting with responsibilities in CT and General Diagnostic Radiology. Under the supervision of administrator and staff, accurately reads and interprets physicians scanning instructions, protocols, administration of contrast materials.

Performs and positions patients for both CT and diagnostic radiography. Explains procedures to patients, answering any questions or concerns. Operates CT/diagnostic equipment by setting controls and making any required adjustments to procure required images. Solves problems as the arise during patient exams. Performs and positions patients for x-ray exams according to the departmental standard procedures. Practices radiations safety to both the patient and co-workers. Preforms QA and other job related duties such as cleaning and re-stocking of the areas. Follows departmental policies/procedures, HIPPA, ACR and NYSDOH requirements. Demonstrates knowledge of radiology operating systems such as PACS, EPIC and RIS. Reports any malfunctioning of the equipment and notifies the appropriate person.

Performs other duties as required. Salary commensurate with experience/qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates Degree in Medical Radiography and License and Registration (ARRT) required. May need additional certification, depending on specialty. Two years experience as a Medical Radiology Technologist. Certification of Contrast Injection or eligible. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

CT experience preferred.

Work Days:

8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday-Friday with overtime
