Job Summary:

The candidate should be motivated, display some independence, possess excellent interpersonal skills and high standards of professional conduct, and with excellent communication skills with clinicians, research associates, students, and faculty. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining an accurate lab notebook with experimental details and reporting the results of the experiments to the Principal Investigator. Enthusiastic individuals should have strong critical thinking, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills and thrive in a collegial/collaborative environment.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Experimental Research:
Conduct in vitro and in vivo experiments focusing on extracellular signaling, proteomic and cell-based approaches, imaging techniques.
Quickly learn and apply new techniques to advance project goals.
Compile and present experimental data, including basic statistical analyses.

Project Management:
Drive projects to successful completion.
Stay updated with current literature, on technological and scientific advancements in the field.
Utilize a variety of information resources beyond primary literature, such as public gene expression databases.

Collaboration and Communication:
Serve as a resource for lab members.
Interact, communicate, and coordinate lab members and faculty at the Department.

Minimum Qualifications:

MSc in biological science, life sciences, or relevant field. At least 1 year of research experience following MSc .

Preferred Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have experience/interest in cell biology, extracellular matrix biology, 2-D and 3-D human cell culture, proteolytic activity, enzymatic assays, RNA and protein isolation from tissue and cultured cells, real-time PCR, Western blotting, molecular biology, immunostaining and fluorescence microscopy.

M-F Daytime Hours
